Day 1:
Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet our team for transfer to Weru Weru River Lodge. In the evening, enjoy a full trek briefing, equipment check, and final preparations with your mountain guide.

Accommodation: Weru Weru River Lodge

Meals: Dinner (Half Board)

Day 2:
Machame Gate (1,800m) → Machame Camp (3,000m)

Distance: 11 km | Time: 5–6 hrs | Habitat: Rainforest

Trek through lush montane forest rich with birdlife and waterfalls. Arrive at Machame Camp where your crew prepares camp and a hot meal.

Day 3:
Machame Camp → Shira Camp (3,840m)

Distance: 5 km | Time: 4–5 hrs | Habitat: Moorland

Climb out of the forest into open moorland with sweeping views of Kibo Peak and the Shira Plateau.

Day 4:
Shira Camp → Lava Tower (4,630m) → Barranco Camp (3,960m)

Distance: 10 km | Time: 6–7 hrs | Habitat: Semi-desert

A key acclimatization day. Ascend to Lava Tower for lunch, then descend to the scenic Barranco Valley, surrounded by giant lobelias and senecios.

Day 5:
Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Distance: 5 km | Time: 4–5 hrs | Habitat: Alpine Desert

Climb the famous Barranco Wall (non-technical scramble) and continue across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp—an important acclimatization stop.

Day 6:
Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp (4,640m)

Distance: 4 km | Time: 3–4 hrs | Habitat: Alpine Desert

Ascend to Barafu Camp, your summit base. Arrive early to rest, hydrate, and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 7: Summit Day – Barafu → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Distance: 17 km | Time: 12–15 hrs | Habitat: Arctic → Moorland

Begin around midnight. Reach Stella Point at sunrise, then continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak. Descend to Barafu for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp.

Day 8:
Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate

Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate to receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to the lodge for a hot shower and rest.

Departure or Safari Extension

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or continue with a Tanzania safari or Zanzibar beach extension.
