Day 1:
Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to Weru Weru River Lodge.
In the evening, meet your head guide for a full climb briefing, gear check, and final preparations.

Day 2:
Marangu Gate (1,880m) → Mandara Hut (2,720m)
Distance: 8 km | Time: 3–4 hrs | Habitat: Rainforest
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate for registration. Begin trekking through dense rainforest with mossy trails, giant ferns, and chances of spotting blue monkeys and birdlife.
Arrive at Mandara Hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Arrive at Horombo Hut, the largest and most comfortable hut on the mountain.

Day 4:
Horombo Hut – Acclimatization Day (Zebra Rocks Hike)
Distance: ~5 km (optional) | Time: 2–3 hrs | Habitat: Alpine Desert
A full acclimatization day to increase summit success. Most climbers take a short hike to Zebra Rocks (4,050m) before returning to Horombo Hut to rest.

Day 5:
Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut (4,700m)
Distance: 9.5 km | Time: 5–6 hrs | Habitat: Alpine Desert
Cross the famous Saddle, a wide, lunar-like plateau between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.
Arrive at Kibo Hut in the afternoon for an early dinner and rest before the midnight summit attempt.

Day 6:
Summit Day – Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Horombo Hut
Distance: 22 km | Time: 12–15 hrs | Habitat: Arctic → Moorland
Begin the final ascent around midnight. Climb steadily to Gillman’s Point (5,685m) on the crater rim, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
After photos and celebration, descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing to Horombo Hut.

Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate → Weru Weru River Lodge

Transfer back to the lodge for a hot shower and relaxation.
